If you think that just the runners face a huge challenge when they participate in a marathon, then you're wrong. Even the organisers, volunteers and the speakers have a lot of work while they are working at a marathon. I spoke for about 7 hours last Sunday at the Wizz Air Cluj-Napoca Marathon where the fastest man, Kenyan athlete Ndiwa Sakong set a new track record (2:17:12). Congratulations to all the five thousand participants and to all the people involved!

When it's nice outside, people go to have a pleasant run in the city. And there are some great organisers who try to motivate them all to live a healthy life. I had the honour to be the host of the press conference which launched this year's Telekom Vivicitta running festival in Budapest. The event is going to be held in the weekend of 20-21 April. There will be about 20 thousand participants involved.

Such a great party at the end of the year! Japanese company Nissin hired me for another Christmas party as a presenter. Their instant food factory in Kecskemét provides job opportunities for hundreds of people in the region. They play an important role in the foreign investments systems in Hungary, their expansion is continuous. Congratulations to them for their success, I see them growing every time I meet them in December.

This year's Raiffeisen Bank Bucharest Marathon had a sold-out status as all the 16 thousand registration tickets were taken very early. The Romanian capital city showed its greatness in a mixture of wide boulevards and popular tourist attractions. The finish area is placed each year on the Constitution Square, just in front of the Palace of the Parliament, one of the largest buildings on Earth. About the results: it was the Moroccan Mohamed Chaaboud who won the 42.195 km race in 2:17:18, while Mekkonen Serkalem Mengiste, representing Ethiopia, set the best time in the women's category (2:37:44). It was a great honour and also pleasure to take part in this event as a multilingual presenter. Congratulations to all the people involved and many thanks for the great atmosphere!

What a great project! The organisers of the Brasov Running Festival had the intention of setting all the conditions for a possible world record. They succeeded! On an internationally homologated track Kenyan athlete Agnes Ngetich set a new world record on 5 and 10 kilometres. She won the 10K race in 29 minutes and 24 seconds. Of course, amateurs and children had their races too, it was an outstanding event, well organised, but the highlight was for sure the world record. Even the International Olympic Committee wrote about Brasov last Sunday which is great news for all the Transylvanians! For us Brasov is a beloved city, a place we love to visit when we have the opportunity to do so. I was so delighted that I had the chance to work as a multilingual presenter at this event! Congratulations to all the people involved!

Held for the 11th time, BUD Runway Run had a number of over 1000 participants this year. A joyful run on the airport of Budapest with a lot of fun and great performances. There were two distances for the adults: 5 and 10 km. Children had their races too. The atmosphere was superb as the organizers invited three Olympic champions to hand over the prizes at the final ceremony: Tamas Darnyi, Sandor Wladar, Eva Risztov, respectively European champion Richard Marton came to join this great event (they are all swimmers). It was all about charity, two foundations received all the registration fees of the competition.

The greatest summer race of my home region, Szeklerland, came to its 17th edition. We had a magnificent competition with Martin Messner (Austria) who took the lead at the very last stage and gained the most important jersey of the event, by a margin of just 5 seconds. Tour of Szeklerland is unique with its beautiful landscape and nice hospitality. It was the case this year as well when 90 riders lined up at the start. Congratulations to all the people involved!

The 13th edition of the Cycling Tour of Sibiu was definitely one of the greatest races ever in this region of Europe. Not just because of the fact that many stars came to compete here this year as well, just like Sam Bennett (BORA-Hangsrohe) who won 2 stages out of 5, but mostly because of the fact that we had to wait until the very and of the Tour to find out the winner in the general classification. After his victory at Balea Lac, Lennert van Eetvelt (Lotto) had the best chances to stay in the yellow jersey, but after his puncture one day later, he had to accept a dramatic scenario. Before the last stage, an ITT in the historical centre of Sibiu, there were 4 riders separated by only 6 seconds, and it was Mark Donovan (Q36.5) who rode fastest among them. It was the Briton who won the 13th edition, ending the BORA-supremacy after three years. What a great race, I was happy to be a part of it, at least 2 thousand people came to celebrate with the winners at the awards ceremony.

I took the flight Vienna-Bucharest on Saturday, right after the triathlon where I worked on that day, to arrive on time to the Romanian capital for the Half Marathon scheduled for Sunday. It was worth it. The event gathered thousands of runners at the start and there was a lot to celebrate at the finish as well because Yerga Berihun (Ethiopia) set a new track record (1:00:55). It was a great atmosphere out there, people were cheering on the runners on the entire course. I will be back in October for the marathon in the same city. Can't wait!

Even if it's hard to believe, there are about 20 000 people who participate in the competition called Ultrabalaton each year. Now I had the pleasure to present the start of the relays consisting of 5-13 runners. It's crazy I know but believe me, from 3 AM to 6 PM there were starts given in every minute. It was a hard task for me as well, but the atmosphere was great and it helped a lot! The Ultrabalaton is a running race with a total distance of 210 km around the largest lake of Hungary.

Just like every year, the marathon held in the largest city of Transylvania gathers thousands of people to the start of the event. This year, a number of 4 thousand runners came to participate in the races held on Sunday. Kenyan athletes won the traditional event but there were many other expats who stepped on the podium (a lot of internationals work in Cluj in the field of IT). It was one of the motivating facts that top 3 runners of each category received free entry cards for the first day of the Athletics World Championships, to be held in Budapest this August.

Japanese company Nissin Foods made a surprise to all its employees in Hungary, based in the town of Kecskemét. A Christmas Party was held for all the staff at the end of a chellenging year. I had the honour to cooperate with them as a multilingual presenter, leading them through this great event. Such a pleasant evening.

Just another great story in Bucharest. At the 15th edition it was a Romanian athlete who managed to cross the line first at the end of those challenging 42.195 km. Alexandru Corneschi had a fantastic season and he crowned it with a performance of 2:15:58, the best one on this sunny day. But there were many other heroes on that day. More than 8 thousand runners participated in one of the classic events in Bucharest, which means that both the half-marathon and the 10 km race were very popular.

As always, the Cycling Tour of Szeklerland is a meaningful event for me. I began my career as a presenter at this competition back in 2007. Now the race came to its 15th edition. I was deeply honoured to offer my multilingual services at the start and the finish line, as well as on the main stage, calling the riders on the podium. This time Alan Banaszek (POL) finished 1st in the GC, with a gap of only 2 seconds ahead of Daniel Auer (AUT). Former Giro d'Italia stage winner Andrea Guardini achieved the 3rd position. It was a great event, I already miss it!

What a fantastic memory! It was a highlight for me this season that I had the opportunity to present the famous Ultrabalaton race in Hungary. Thousands of runners completed a 220 km long distance around Lake Balaton. I met them at the start line where freshness, emotion and team spirit is at the highest level.

Winter resort Vatra Dornei hosted the 3rd stage of the FIL Luge World Cup on Natural Track last weekend. Low temperatures helped organizers a lot, the race course was perfectly prepared and the athletes had the best conditions to show their strengths in front of the local sports-loving crowd. Italians dominated the race as athletes of South-Tyrol (Italy) won the gold medal in all the three categories (men's and women's singles, doubles). Just one day after Eliud Kipchoge's record of completing the marathon distance under 2 hours, Bucharest has also seen a new track record set by Hosea Kipkosgei (2:10:50). At the 12th edition of the marathon, more than 20 thousand people came to participate. I was glad to present the races this time as well.

Guess where is located one of the largest instant noodle companies in the world? In Hungary, more exactly in the city of Kecskemet. The workers of the Japanese Nissin factory participated in a team building event, and I had the opportunity to entertain them. It was a day full of surprises, games and a lot of fun, ending with a memorable concert.

Different age categories, different sporting experiences and form, but one single aim for everyone: raising money for leukaemia patients in Graz, Austria. Last Friday I had the honor to present the charity event Lekämiehilfelauf in the Austrian city of Graz, where a number of about 500 runners came to participate despite the hot temperatures in the stadium Eggenberg. A magnificent palace was also part of the race track so we all enjoyed this summer afternoon together.

It is always a great pleasure to present the races of the Bucharest International Marathon in Romania. The event is organized in front of the Parliament which is the second largest administrative building in the world (after The Pentagon). I have just told Paolo, the race director of the running events in Bucharest, that he is like Christmas and Easter in my life. I always know that I meet him twice a year: at the half marathon in May and at the marathon in October. It was a pleasure and of course an honour to be a part of the event this season as well. The organizers and the young volunteers have gathered a lot of experience and I can see that the race is growing year by year. Congratulations to all the people who got involved, and of course all the athletes who came to run on the streets of Bucharest. We had more than 10,000 participants on Sunday! What a nice weekend!

The feeling alone when I drive across Styria is a fantastic pleasure. Then I wake up the next morning and go to present a cool race, the Austrian 1/2 Iron Triathlon which is a great event featuring almost 500 participants who come to face the hard challenge consisting of 2 km swim, 86 km bike and 20 km run. The environment is epic: a nice, small lake, forest, parks, hills, sunshine. It was a huge honor to be a part of it! A memorable event, I can recommend it to all who like triathlon! It was great to present the 27th edition of the Lake Neusiedl Bike Marathon. For the fifth time in my career, I had the honor to be there as a multilingual announcer. This year we had a number of one thousand participants who started the marathon and tried to complete the 125 km long course around lake Neusiedl between Austria and Hungary. It was a memorable race for me as I had the opportunity to cooperate with my friend, Othmar Peer from Tyrol.

Presenting a marathon is like running a marathon. But it's more fun! You see many satisfied faces after 42 km. That's what I felt last weekend in Cluj as I presented the 8th edition of the marathon in the famous Cluj Arena. It was great, just like everytime before. At the 10th edition of the Raiffeisen Bank Bucharest Marathon, a new track record was set by a kenyan athlete. Duncan Cheruiyot Koech crossed the finish line in 2 hours 13 minutes 13 seconds. Congratulations! The women's race was won by an Ethiopian runner, while host country Romania had a bronze medal as Ana Rodean finished third. It was another superb experience for me. This race is a special event as it involves many volunteers and has a great organizing team. I enjoy it anytime I have the honor to commentate the competition. It's nice to be a part of it.

Thousands of children came to try out sports in the third district of Budapest last Thursday. It was a unique occasion to meet coaches and representatives of clubs located in the Northern part of the Hungarian capital city. For me it was a new experience, because the majority of the interviews I took were made with young scholars under the age of 10 years. But, in the same time it was also a pleasure to see them being interested in a sporting career.

For the fourth time this season, I had the honor to present a karting competition. The event was held in Austria, close to the town of Bruck an der Leitha in the Eastern region of the country. It was the last stage of the CEE Rotax Max Challenge and it brought us some unforgettable moments. Many of the races were very intense and the participants gave their best to win, especially because of the fact that the winner of the general points classification goes to Portugal for the World Championships, held in November.

The Cycling Tour of Szeklerland has a history of 10 years and I had the honor to be the presenter for the 7th time in my career. What a nice event! This season, 83 riders came to participate, representing 15 teams from all around Europe. The Austrian rider Patrick Bosman has managed to win the race. The competition ended in the town of Csíkszereda/Miercurea Ciuc, where I was born 28 years ago... :)

It was once again a pleasure to hold the microphone at a major event. I presented the U23 Triathlon European Championships, in the beginning of August. At the Hungarian event held at Lake Velence, the host country (athlete Bence Bicsak) has won a gold medal, so the atmosphere was really unbelievable. I was honored to work there and be part of this magnifficent event.

This time, the Tour of Bihor gathered 146 riders from 24 teams, participating in 4 different stages. It was a great event, Rodolfo Torres (Androni Giocattoli) has won the yellow jersey, as the top rider in the general classification.

The sea resort called Mamaia (Romania) hosted the Bob & Skeleton World Championships last weekend. It was great to be the multilingual announcer of the event where competitiors from 10 nations came to participate. They took the start on a 50 meter long artificial track where the times were measured. The race was won by the fastest racer after 3 runs.

The town of Tiszaujvaros has a history of only 50 years. It is hosting the triathlon World Cup since 1997 which is the most popular event in the region. This year, thousands of supporters came to cheer for the Hungarian athletes at the 20th edition. The locals were satisfied with the bronze medal achieved by Tamas Toth (Rio olympian) and I was honoured to present the race in 4 languages for the thrd time in a row.

Presenting a marathon is always a privilege. This time, Cluj-Napoca hosted its 6th international marathon and I enjoyed being the speaker of the event. I used the multilingualism to entertain the people who came to run or to cheer for others. It was a new attendance record, over 3500 people from 20 countries came to Cluj to take part in the sporting event.

Just another sensational weekend. I visited the Bucovina region of Romania to present the third stage of the Luge World Cup on Natural Track. The organizers worked hard to prepare the venue for the race and for the World Championship being held next year. The Italian lugers have put a dominating effort and managed to win all the gold medals.

Well, I am not exaggerating saying that car racing is one of the most spectacular sporting disciplines humanity has seen. The 23rd edition of the Harghita Rallye (Transylvania, Romania) was a superb highlight of the year, I enjoyed every moment of it. Thousands of supporters came to see the SS stage on the streets of Odorhei (Szekelyudvarhely) and they had a lot of fun. The race brought another victory for Simone Tempestini, the Italian has won the National Championship aged 21. I was honored to present this spectacular event.

The party-atmosphere of the Tiszy Triatlon World Cup is a unique experience for all the participants. Hundreds of racers come to qualify for the final but they also enjoy every moment of a spectacular show. The sport event is a bit different than the majority of the races held around the world. Tiszy surprises people with its party-oriented, ceremonial way of organising a sport event. The inhabitants of the Hungarian town do serious preparations in order to keep the tradition alive. Tiszaujvaros is the only place in the WC calender where 19 races were held in a row. I love that place and congratulate to all the involved sport-loving people!

The city of Brasov hosted the International Herbalife Triathlon where around 500 participants accepted the challenge to complete a quite exhausting race. The city and its surroundings are known for their natural beauty and epic sights so it must be a pleasure to compete in the region. It was an honor to me to work there and to enjoy the magnificent atmosphere. Congratulations to all the finishers and organizers!

A number of 17 strong teams with a total of 107 riders participated in the 5th edition of the Cycling Tour of Sibiu (UCI 2.1). The race consisting of 5 competition days ended with the victory of Mauro Finetto (Team Southeast) ahead of Davide Rebellin and Serghei Tvetcov. Cycling has become very popular among the inhabitants of the Transylvanian city of Sibiu, many of them had the ambition to climb the mountains to follow the stage finals just a step away from the finish line. It is an honor to me to present this magnificent event and I hope that cycling will improve continuously in Romania in order to have many world-class events on the roads.

It was the first ever international marathon held in the city of Brasov (Romania) last Sunday. Over 1000 runners started from the square situated next to the famous Black Church, being prepared to complete the distance of over 42 km. It was an enjoyable race, even if the weather was possibly the biggest opponent of the participants. In over 30 degrees, people had to run continuously. They succeeded, showing that sport brings joy and satisfaction! It was the same to me, I was honored to be the multilingual presenter of the Transylvanian sport event.

Having a history of 13 years, the Austrian 1/2 Iron Triathlon is known for its friendly atmosphere. The same kind of pleasant conditions were guarenteed this year as well. A total number of 240 participants took on the challenge consisting of 2 km swim, 86 km bike and 21 km run. The men's competition was won by the Slovenian Matija Meden, followed by two Hungarian professionals, Zoltan Petsuk and Marton Flander. Marina Novel from Italy was the fastest woman of the race. It was an honor to me to be the multilingual announcer of the competition held on 9th of May 2015.

It was a spectacular race around lake Neusiedl in Austria. 1500 riders started from the village called Morbisch am See, having to complete a 125 km long race course around the lake situated between Austria and Hungary. It was an honor to me to present the event, especially because of the fact that it goues far beyond sports: it takes place at the border between the two states, a border which was reopened just 25 years ago. Now, thousands of participants have the opportunity to enjoy a major event at this pitoresque place.

It was a pleasure and of course also an honor to present the Luge World Cup on natural track in Romania. The historic Bukovina region hosted a superb event on a very technical and fast natural track. For the 10th time in his career, Patrick Pigneter from Italy won a new overall World Cup title. Romania will host the 2017 World Championships as well.

I had a fascinating start into the new year. I began my internship at the Hungarian state television. I follow the work in the newsroom, join conferences and recordings. It is all about learning and gaining some new experience. I can feel that every new project brings me further. That's why it is all done on a highly professional level. I had the honor to present all the 5 stages of the Para-cycling Tour of Upper Austria. The race is also included in the UCI calendar, so many competitors had the opportunity to collect points for the qualification to the Rio Paralympics. It was an unforgettable experience to see how disabled athletes compete without taking physical impairment or any other limits in consideration.

There were some heroic iron men and women who competed at the Austrian 1/2 Iron Triathlon last Saturday. With 280 people from 11 different countries, the Styrian competition guaranteed a spectacular experience. It all began with an exhausting 2 km long swimming leg. Afterwards, there was a great cycling part measuring 86 km and a decisive showdown with 21 km of running. It was a fantastic event where I had the honor to entertain respectively infotain people performing a 3 language commentary (EN, DE, HU).

The Austrian location Mörbisch hosted a great sports event on the last weekend of April. Over 1700 participants lined-up at the start of the running and cycling races. I had the pleasure to present the competition together with Othmar Peer, an expert cycling commentator.
